Naval Frigate (Moray Eel)

Unit Summary: Frigates are primarily designed for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and have good underwater attack abilities. The also can aid in Anti-Air Warfare (AAW) role, but should not be the primary ship in an AAW taskforce.
Special Abilities: They do not consume food. Has 1 Cargo Slot.

Naval Destroyer (Lion Shark)

Unit Summary: Naval Destroyers are equally suited for ASW and AAW attack roles as either a primary or secondary vessel.
Special Abilities: They do not consume food. Has 2 Cargo Slots.

Naval Cruiser (Tsunami)

Unit Summary: Naval Cruisers are primarily suited for AAW and secondarily for ASW roles.
Special Abilities: They do not consume food. Has 2 Cargo Slots.

Naval Battleship (Giant Squid)

Unit Summary: Naval Battleships are primarily suited for Anti-Surface Warface (ASUW) and also coastal city bombardment and hence have an awesome Indirect Attack capability. They are totally defenseless against Air units, however, so do not leave them undefended against this threat.
Special Abilities: They do not consume food. Has 3 Cargo Slots.

Naval (Aircraft) Carrier (Puffer)

Unit Summary: Carriers make excellent additions to naval groups with their impressive AAW capabilities and since aircraft can land on them, they can be used as a platform for launching air attacks against enemy cities. They are totally defenseless against any other type of Naval unit, so ensure they are stacked in a Carrier Battle Group to protect them from enemy vessels.
Special Abilities: When stacked with Air units, the Air units do not use movement as long as they move simultaneously with the Carrier, Air units cannot run out of fuel if they end their turn on a Naval Carrier, and they do not consume food. Has 4 Cargo Slots.

Special Note:

It is possible with the addition of the following technologies to disassemble the 3 base naval vessels (Naval Frigate, Cruiser, and Carrier) and ready them for transport.

(650) Armored Freighter (-2) +
(950) Power Bulk Hauler (-3)

Disassemble Naval Frigate at Starport to enable transport
Disassemble Naval Cruiser at Starport to enable transport
Disassemble Naval Carrier at Starport to enable transport

This process requires as time to disassemble the parts and densely pack them into special containers. Once the vessels are disassembled, they can be loaded aboard any transport. Upon transporting the unit to its new location, the unit may be returned to its base form by disbanding the disassembled unit.

Guided Missile Frigate (Scorpion Fish)

Unit Summary: With advancements in Guided Missile Technology, Guided Missile Frigates continue in their ASW role but also have a more viable secondary AAW role as well.
Special Abilities: They do not consume food. Has 1 Cargo Slot.

Guided Missile Destroyer (Hammerhead)

Unit Summary: Guided Missile Destroyers have a healthy increase in both their Underwater and Air attack capabilities making them better at both their ASW and AAW roles.
Special Abilities: They do not consume food. Has 2 Cargo Slots.

Guided Missile Cruiser (Cyclone)

Unit Summary: Guided Missile Cruisers receive hefty increases in both their Underwater and Air attack capabilities making them more able to carry out their primary AAW and secondary ASW roles.
Special Abilities: They do not consume food. Has 2 Cargo Slots.

Guided Missile Battleship (Kraken)

Unit Summary: With a significant upgrade in their Indirect accuracy and power, Guided Missile Battleships are even more suited for the ASUW and coastal city bombardment roles. They are still defenseless against Air units.
Special Abilities: They do not consume food. Has 2 Cargo Slots.

Battle Naval Carrier (Octopus)

Unit Summary: Battle Carriers air impressive AAW platforms, however they are still defenseless against other naval vessels.
Special Abilities: When stacked with Air units, the Air units do not use movement as long as they move simultaneously with the Carrier, Air units cannot run out of fuel if they end their turn on a Naval Carrier, and they do not consume food. Has 4 Cargo Slots.
